🏆 Global Esports Games 2025 — Lima, Peru (December 7–14)
Global Esports Games 2025 (GEG 2025) will bring the world together for a week-long national-team esports celebration in Lima, Peru. The Global Esports Federation (GEF) announced Lima as host; the event is planned for December 7–14, 2025. Please note: title line-ups and the full match schedule remain TBC until GEF releases final details.
GEG is designed like an international multi-sport event but for esports — teams and competitors often represent their countries or territories through their national federations. Expect a multi-title programme, medal-style podiums, cultural showcases, and a strong fan-centric programme that blends competition with community fun.
What to expect:
- Opening Ceremony (Dec 7) — a livestreamed kickoff and parade of delegations.
- Competition Phase (Dec 8–13) — multi-title brackets across PC, console and mobile; qualifiers, group stages and playoffs.
- Community & Fan Zone — panels, meet-and-greets, fan voting and side-events for viewers and creators.
- Grand Finale & Awards (Dec 14) — final matches, medal ceremonies, and closing celebrations.
How fans and players can participate:
- Players / athletes: National federations select or qualify players — if you compete at a national level, check your country’s esports federation for selection details.
- Fans / viewers: Matches and ceremonies are expected to be livestreamed via GEF’s official channels and partner platforms.
- Content creators: Pre-event content works great — athlete spotlights, title predictions, regional qualifier recaps, and fan guides.
